A KG-Based Integrated UAV Approach for Engineering Semantic Trajectories in the Cultural Heritage Documentation Domain

Data recordings of the movement vehicles can be enriched with heterogeneous and multimodal data beyond latitude, longitude, timestamp enhanced complementary segmentations, constituting a semantic trajectory. Semantic Web (SW) technologies have been extensively used for integration movement-related data, effective modeling trajectories, in several domains. In this paper, we present an integrated solution engineering cultural heritage trajectories generated from unmanned aerial (UAVs) represented as knowledge graphs (KGs). Particularly, work is motivated by, evaluated based on, application domain UAV missions documenting regions/points interest. context, research extends our previous on contributing (a) updated methodology KGs (STaKG), (b) implemented toolset management KG-based (c) refined ontology representation related to documentation, (d) evaluation proposed methodology, developed toolset, within UAV-based documentation. The was achieved by exploiting real datasets collected during three document sites interest Lesvos, Greece, i.e., UNESCO-protected petrified forest Lesvos Petrified Forest/Geopark, village Vrissa, University Hill.
